Experiencing Bangkok’s OG Night Golf
When I was researching golf experiences in Bangkok, one name kept coming up for night golf, Panya Indra Golf Club.
Apparently, this is one of Bangkok’s OG night golf experiences and has built a reputation as one of the most iconic places to play under the lights. After experiencing night golf at Flora Ville previously, I wanted to see how Panya compared and whether it lived up to the hype.
Unlike a typical daytime round where you chase scenery and course views, night golf has a completely different charm. The atmosphere, the lights, and the feeling of playing after sunset create a very different kind of memory.
So naturally, I had to experience it myself.
How I planned the trip — research, booking & logistics
Planning this round was actually very straightforward.
I booked directly online through their booking system, and the transaction was smooth. The price was THB3,500 per golfer, which is definitely on the higher side compared to some courses in Bangkok.
One thing I did find surprising was that there was no rain check or refund policy. This means if something unexpected happened — whether it was a last-minute cancellation or bad weather — there would be no refund.
And ironically… the one thing I was worried about happened.
When I arrived, it was pouring rain.
The course is in good condition, I enjoyed playing here.
Course B AND C
For my round, I played Courses B and C, two of Panya Indra’s three 9-hole layouts.
The course itself is wide and fairly open, making it enjoyable for a night round. While the layout didn’t leave as strong an impression on me as some of the more scenic courses I’ve played, there were still a couple of holes that stood out.
My favourite was the signature hole on Course C, overlooking the clubhouse. Seeing the clubhouse beautifully lit up at night made it one of the most memorable views of the round.
The other highlight was the island green, which adds a fun challenge, especially under the floodlights.
Playing night golf is also a completely different experience. You don’t get the same depth perception as you would during the day, so every shot requires a little more trust and commitment. It definitely made the round more exciting.
First impressions
clubhouse, hospitality & vibe
The rain continued for about an hour before we could finally start our round.
Because of the weather, there were also no buggies allowed on the course, which was not ideal after a long day. Walking the course while carrying our own bags in wet conditions definitely made the night more challenging.
From the entrance to the clubhouse, the facilities felt more traditional and showed their age compared to some newer golf clubs in Bangkok.
But there was something charming about Panya.
It didn’t feel overly polished or resort-like. Instead, it had more of that old-school golf club atmosphere, a place built around the love of the game and the experience itself.

The highlight of my Panya experience was honestly my caddy.
She was incredibly attentive, kind, and supportive throughout the entire round. She kept checking on me, helping me navigate the course, and making sure I was enjoying myself despite the rain and challenging conditions.
Her service was so good that we even exchanged contacts after the game. 😂
I gave her a THB1,000 tip because she truly made the experience much more enjoyable.
This is one thing I always appreciate about golf in Thailand — the people often become the biggest part of the memory.
Facilities & after-round experience
While the clubhouse facilities felt older, there were still some unique things that stood out.
The halfway huts were probably my favourite surprise.
Instead of just a simple drinks stop, they had a full noodle station and fried chicken available. After playing in the rain, having a warm Thai noodle soup and fried chicken in the middle of the night felt like the perfect reward.
The best part? I brought my bowl of Thai noodles back onto the course with me.
Eating noodles under the night sky while playing golf in Bangkok… honestly, that was such a fun and unforgettable moment.
The driving range was also interesting. It had more of a casual picnic vibe, with food stalls and shops right beside the range — almost like a social gathering spot rather than just a practice area.

⛳ Course:
Wide and enjoyable night golf layout. Signature hole overlooking the clubhouse and island hole were the highlights.
👟 Caddy Experience:
Excellent. Very attentive, friendly, and made the round memorable. Tip: THB1,000.
💰 Price:
THB3,500 per golfer (price may vary). Higher side, and note there is no rain check/refund policy.
📍 Location:
Convenient Bangkok location. I chose it because it was a good midpoint between both airports for my friends and me.
🏢 Facilities:
Older clubhouse and facilities, but unique halfway huts, noodle station, fried chicken, and interesting driving range atmosphere.
⭐ Would I Return:
Probably not just for the golf course itself, but yes for convenience and if I wanted another fun night golf experience with friends.
Personal Verdict
Compared to my previous night golf experience at Flora Ville, I would say both offer very different experiences.
Flora Ville felt more comfortable with newer facilities and a more polished environment.
But Panya Indra?
Panya was about the stories and memories.
The rain, walking the course without buggies, having Thai noodles during a night round, and meeting such a wonderful caddy — these were the moments that made this experience special.
Would I call it the best golf course I’ve played in Bangkok? Probably not.
But was it one of the most memorable experiences?
Definitely.
Sometimes, the best golf memories don’t come from perfect conditions.
They come from the unexpected moments along the way.
